It is important for you to know that by using the Site, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Statement.

Privacy Basics and Your Rights: What you need to know

  • We will use your information to provide you with the services you request through Teacher2Teacher.education. We will ask you for permission if we would like to use your personally identifiable information other than to provide you with the services we make available to you through the Site.

  • We will not sell or share your personally identifiable information for marketing purposes.

  • We will provide you with the ability to access, review, and correct your personally identifiable information.

  • We will use our best efforts to protect your information using industry standard security measures and technology.

  • We will notify you in advance if we plan to change the terms and conditions of this Privacy Statement and will give you an opportunity to discontinue using the site and to delete your information if you wish.

Your Personal Information: What We Collect and How We Use It

When you interact with the Site, we ask you to supply us with limited personal information so that we can provide, enhance and personalize the site’s services. The types of personal information we ask you to provide may include:

  • School and district

  • Zip code

  • Grade level(s)

  • Subject(s) taught

We may use the email address you provide to let you know about important community updates. For example, we may use your email address to send newsletters, messages about new site features, surveys, and invitations to other programmatic opportunities. If you no longer want to receive certain communications from us via email, simply lick the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email. Please note that you cannot unsubscribe from certain correspondence from us such as Privacy Statement update notifications

In order to provide these services to you, we may use third party service providers, such as technology or software companies. We require our service providers to comply with our privacy policies and to protect your information in substantially the same way we protect it. We may also share your information if required by applicable law (for example, if we receive a subpoena).

Other Uses or Disclosures Require Your Permission

We require your explicit permission to use your personal information, or to share your information with a third party, for purposes other than those described in this Privacy Statement.

Access, Review, and Correction

We are committed to being good stewards of the information you share with us. To better protect your privacy, you can access and adjust the information you share on your personal profile at any time. You can also ask us to tell you what information we have currently stored about you. You will have an opportunity to correct or delete this information within the terms of this Privacy Statement. Data Security

Not Intended for Use by Children

This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age through this Site. If you think we have collected personal information from a child under 13 years of age for whom you are the parent or guardian, please contact us using the information provided in the “Contact Information” section at the bottom of this Privacy Statement.

Teacher2Teacher.education may include links allowing you to access third party sites. The Foundation is not responsible for the content that appears on these sites and does not endorse these sites. When you choose to use the link to go to a third party site, you leave the Teacher2Teacher.education Site, and this Privacy Statement no longer applies to the information you share or that is obtained about you by the third party site. Please consult those sites’ individual privacy policies in order to determine how they treat your information.

Continuity of Operations

If the Foundation were to transfer assets or operations in connection with a merger, sale, or other transaction, we might transfer your personal information to the acquiring or merging entity. In that event, we would use good faith efforts to require that your personal information remain subject to the same restrictions as in this Privacy Statement. We will send a notice to your email address and/or temporarily place a prominent notice on the site regarding the pending transaction. You may delete your personal information if you object to the transfer. Your continued use of the site will be considered your acknowledgment of the transfer.

Changes to this Privacy Statement

The Foundation may update this Privacy Statement at any time for any reason. If there are any material changes to how we handle personal information, we will send a notice to your email address and/or temporarily place a prominent notice on the site.
